Pete Sweger, PT Founder

Pete Sweger is a licensed physical therapist with over 25 years of experience in the field, specializing in neurological rehabilitation, custom wheelchair seating, as well as intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is a 1999 Langston University school of Physical Therapy graduate. Mr. Sweger went on to work in most settings, outpatient, home health, nursing homes, acute, and acute rehab. In 2001 he founded Alphacare specializing in Development Disabilities Services. In the DDS space Alphacare has made significant contributions to patient care in urban and rural settings statewide. In his personal time he is grateful to be able to serve as an Elder since 2014 at North Pointe Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. His step mother Pam, wife Sarah, daughter Madelyne, and son James all work together on this shared mission that is Alphacare.

Melissa Wilson, PT

Melissa has worked in the field of physical therapy for over 20 years, bringing genuine compassion, patience, and dedication to her work. She began her career in outpatient and home health settings, where she learned the importance of meeting each person where they are and providing truly patient-centered care. Over time, Melissa discovered her true passion in serving adults with special needs with Alphacare. She finds deep fulfillment in building meaningful connections and helping individuals build confidence, independence, and improved quality of life.





Julie Ray, PT

Julia has been a physical therapist since 2002. She has spent most of her career working with adults with complex medical issues. She strives to help her clients maximize their safety and function within their homes and communities. Julia and her husband, Dan, have five kids and are active foster parents. She enjoys music, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.


Amy Vargas, PTA

With 24 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant and 5 years dedicated to DDSD clients, I am passionate about helping individuals regain strength, confidence, and independence. One of the things I value most in my work is the opportunity to build lifelong relationships with my clients. I believe therapy should be both effective and enjoyable, and I strive to bring laughter, encouragement, and a positive spirit into every session. My goal is to create an environment where people feel supported, motivated, and empowered through their PT services. 

LaMae Green, PT

I have been a physical therapist for 35 years and God has blessed me by allowing me to work for Alphacare serving clients with special needs.  I am a wife, mother of three children and a “Mae Mae” to my granddaughter Oaklee Jo.

Kerie Pearson, PTA

I have been a Physical Therapist Assistant since 2019. I have had the privilege of serving DDS clients since September of 2024. Empathy is at the core of my practice—I’m passionate about getting to know my clients and finding meaningful ways to improve their quality of life. I enjoy teaching and empowering caregivers, helping them feel confident and supported in providing the best care possible. 

Heidi Dillon, PTA

Heidi attended Tulsa Community College, where she earned her degree and obtained licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She brings over 20 years of experience working across a variety of settings, including skilled outpatient care with a focus on orthopedics and manual therapy, pediatric therapy, and home health services.

Heidi has developed a deep appreciation for improving the lives of clients, their families, and caregivers, and finds great fulfillment in working with this population. She feels blessed and honored to be a part of the AlphaCare team.

Chris Folsom, PT

Chris is a 1998 graduate of the University of Oklahoma PT program. He and his family reside in Norman, OK. His PT background has emphasis in orthopedics & balance training. He recently completed Level 1 Ride specialty wheelchair seating certification.

Derek Adcox, PT

Derek has been a physical therapist since 2007, with experience across a wide range of settings including inpatient rehabilitation, home health, outpatient clinic,  acute rehab, and nursing home. He specializes in neurological rehabilitation, custom wheelchair seating, and assistive technology. Derek is passionate about creating meaningful improvements not only for his clients, but also for their families. In addition to providing direct care, he is committed to educating and training others, helping foster a culture of continuous learning and an enhanced quality of life for those he serves. His approach combines professional expertise with a warm, approachable style, reflecting his dedication to both excellence and compassion in therapy. Outside of work, Derek enjoys spending time with his wife, Brooke, and their two sons, Van and West.

Amanda Hammonds, PT

Amanda is a physical therapist with 18 years of clinical experience helping individuals restore, maintain, and enhance their functional independence. Known for her warm, patient-centered approach, Amanda blends evidence-based practice with a genuine passion for empowering people to stay active and engaged in the things they love.

Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse patient populations, always focusing on improving mobility, reducing pain, and promoting long-term wellness. Amanda believes that maintaining function is key to preserving quality of life, and she is committed to guiding each patient through personalized care plans designed to support their goals.

Brandy Chase, PTA

Brandy has been a physical therapist assistant since 2008. She has spent most of her career working with the geriatric population in the home health/skilled nursing setting. Her and her husband, Brett, have three kids and live in Western Oklahoma. She enjoys music, going on cruises, and spending time with her family.

Aaron Hayes, PT

I have been a PT since 2016 and have spent most of my career working with children with special needs. I transitioned to working primarily with adults with special needs in 2024. I am certified in Level 1 Ride Designs Custom Seating. I also have a special interest in how trauma manifests in physical dysfunction in the body. My favorite part of my job is getting to know the people I work with and making sure they are living their life to the fullest.

Brandon Emmerson, PTA

Brandon Emerson began a career as a physical therapy assistant in 2001 after graduating from Rose State college. As a Therapist I have enjoyed working in many different areas of therapy. I currently work as a home health therapist in Oklahoma helping people regain there abilities. I enjoy teaching Pre K children at the Bridge church in Piedmont. My wife and I enjoy facilitating Financial Peace University in our community and church. I have had the privilege of serving with the R.I.S.E program since its inception and have been truly blessed to see God move in a mighty way.

Sarah assists her husband and founder of Alphacare, Pete Sweger, both with patient care and behind-the-scenes tasks. Her mission as a Physical Therapist Assistant is to keep the people she serves safe and comfortable. When Pete began serving people through the DDS waiver 25 years ago, the need for more providers in this setting became apparent enough that she switched career goals. After finishing a Bachelor’s in Biology from Oklahoma State University she obtained her AAS in PTA from OCCC in 2013 and has worked for Alphacare ever since.
